Arthur Addison Obituary

In Loving Memory of
Arthur Addison
Beloved husband of Jean (Cook) Addison - predeceased
July 5, 1935 - March 21, 2024

With heavy hearts and great sadness, we mourn,
honour and remember the life of  Arthur Addison
who passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya
on March 21st, 2024, at the age of 88.

Arthur was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Jean (Cook) Addison just last summer. Arthur will always be remembered by his children Debbie, Pennie and Joe (Julie); as the supportive, kind gentleman who had a twinkle in his bright blue eyes at holidays - especially his epic annual Easter Egg Hunts.

His grandchildren were his pride and joy and now grieve the difficult loss of their fun loving Grandpa - Sydney and Roslyn Addison-Rudat and Jacob Addison. How fortunate that in his final days, he was able to catch up in person with Jacob on his hockey games; and was serenaded in his final hour at his side by his talented granddaughters Sydney and Roslyn on guitar and singing favourite songs along with his children! Predeceased by his parents Ted and Hazel (Edmonds) Addison, Arthur is survived by his cherished siblings - Kay (Allen) Everett; and Danny (Joy) Addison. Uncle Arthur will be mourned as well by his nephews Tom (Linda) Rumley, Ted Addison and nieces Kim (Darren) Lewis, Susie Slomke and Emilie (Jeff) Hyde.

Also much loved by many great nieces and nephews.

Arthur was born and raised in Silver Water enjoying lifelong passions of hunting and fishing.
Arthurs other lifelong love was for firefighting - he enjoyed serving the Ontario Fire Service for 45 years!
Good memories of a much loved man
who had lived a long and full life.
Any donations would be appreciated in Arthur's memory to St Andrews United Church, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
