In Loving Memory of
Anthony "Tony" Macaluso
December 6, 1962 - November 17, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tony Macaluso on Monday, November 17th, 2025, at the age of 62.
He passed away at home unexpectedly.
Born on Thursday, December 6th, 1962 in Hamilton Ontario.
Tony was the son of late Nicholas Macaluso and Maureen Austin,
the beloved brother of Teresa Macaluso, Lee Austin, and Jason Austin
and the loving husband of Florita Copada.
His legacy lives on through his devoted wife of 15 years, Florita Copada.
He was a loving father to Nicholas Macaluso (Mylen Bibat-Macaluso) and Braeden Macaluso (Allanna Macaluso)
and an adoring grandfather to Logan Hayden, Shayne Macaluso, Shanessa Macaluso and Jaxon Macaluso.
From a young age, he exhibited a strong and unwavering love for family and a mischievous and unique sense of humour that would define his life.
Tony built a distinguished career as a chef for 10 years at various places like the Red Roof Restaurant and Twin Bluffs Restaurant in Gore Bay, as well as managing Hideaway Lodge in Kagawong. Later on, he decided to follow another passion he had in his life which was anything carpentry. He had a vast knowledge and curiosity in everything to do with carpentry, electrical, plumbing and anything else to do with that field of work.
He was deeply dedicated to his work no matter what it was, but his true pride lay in spending time with family. He always kept in touch with family, whether it be always opening his door for people to visit and stay at his house, sending dozens of TikTok videos to them on a daily basis, or travelling to various cities in order to visit with them.
Other than his work, and spending time with family, he was a man of few hobbies, however, as long as he was around family he was always smiling and willing to do things for them. His unique laugh and willingness to help family is something that will never be forgotten by anyone that truly knew him and will always be remembered by his family and friends.
The family requests that In lieu of flowers, that any donations be made to Diabetes Canada in his honour.
