Carol Margaret Hall
May 5, 1947 - May 12, 2026

Who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya,
one week after celebrating her 79th birthday.
Carol was born in Mindemoya on May 5th, 1947, to Bill and Margaret Lewis.
She attended Gore Bay High School, where she met the love of her life, Carl Hall.
The two later moved to Sudbury and were married on August 5, 1967.
Carol and Carl began their married life in Sudbury, where their son David was born, before settling in Elliot Lake, where they made their home for many years.
In 2004, they retired and moved permanently to Tobacco Lake, a place they dearly loved.
Carol and Carl shared a passion for travel and adventure. Together they toured North America in their Roadtrek, spent several months exploring New Zealand in a rented RV, enjoyed many cruises and Caribbean vacations, and treasured countless winters spent in Florida among many dear friends.
Carol was the beloved mother of David (Heather) of Gore Bay and cherished grandmother of Parker (Sierra) and Ally (Gabe).
She was also a proud great-grandmother — “GG” — to Rosie, daughter of Parker and Sierra.
She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces Wendy, Stacey, and Sherry, and by her nephew Michael.
Carol was predeceased by her brothers Jack and Lyle Lewis.
Carol was also a dear sister-in-law to Gerry and Sharon Hall, and Ian and Karen Hall, and aunt to Bill, Deb, Bob, Greg, and George.
Carol will be missed by many friends who enjoyed her conversation, laugh, playing trains, and having a beer or two (or three).

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Simpson Funeral Home in Gore Bay on
Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
A luncheon will follow, with interment afterward at Gordon Cemetery.
Cremation has taken place at Cooperative Crematorium.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary or the Canadian Cancer Society.
