Daniel Christopher Savage, age 35, was sadly taken from us on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Born on Sunday, January 6, 1991, Daniel leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep devotion to his family.
He was known for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the pride he carried for the people he loved most.

Daniel was a devoted father to his two sons, Mason Andrew Savage and Kai Christopher Savage, who were the center of his world.
He loved his boys fiercely and spoiled them every chance he got. Those who knew Daniel knew that his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being their dad.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Christopher James Savage and Sheridan Savage,
his siblings, Emily Savage and Jordan James Savage
and his beloved dog, Odie, affectionately known as “Odie Bear.” Daniel shared a special bond with Odie and was often found spending time with him at Misery Bay, one of his favourite places.

Daniel worked as a mechanic, a job he genuinely loved. He had a strong work ethic, was always ready to lend a hand, and encouraged others to get things done. He was preparing to return to school this year to further his career, motivated by his desire to build a better future for himself and his children.

A true lover of the outdoors, Daniel hated being indoors and felt most at peace outside. He loved fishing, driving, hiking, and adventuring, and was always eager to try new things. His friends meant the world to him, and many became family through the loyalty, care, and support he so freely gave.

Daniel spent most of his life in Meaford, Ontario. He moved to Canada from Birmingham, England at the age of 13 with his parents, leaving behind a large and loving extended family in the UK who continue to hold him close in their hearts. In his final year, Daniel lived on Manitoulin Island, where he moved with hope and determination to create a better life for himself and his sons.

Daniel will be remembered for his generous spirit, his willingness to help others, his love of life and the outdoors, and most of all, the immense love and pride he had for his children.

A service to honour Daniel’s life will be held
at the Simpson Funeral Home in Gore Bay
on Saturday, January 24, 2026
Visitation to begin at 11:00am
Service to start at 1:00pm.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share stories, memories and moments of good times with Daniel, or how he helped and supported them. His family welcomes these reflections as a way to celebrate the life he lived and the connections he made.

Daniel will be deeply missed and forever loved.
