Douglas Alexander "Sandy" Buchan
July 30, 1931 - December 14, 2019 

Sandy passed away peacefully at the Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay on Saturday, December 14, 2019 in his 89^th year, with his family by his side.

Sandy will be sadly missed by his daughters Wendy Mackan, Mary-Lea Buchan (Bob Third) and Vanesa Jo Woods (Jim).

Cherished grandfather to Heather Gain (Ryan), Stacey Kelly (Shawn), Beverly Wright (Trevor), Patti Jo Woods (Christopher) and Deborah Woods

and great grandfather to Rilyn Gain, Keegan Gain, Hunter Kelly, Hailey Kelly, Gabriel Wright and Alexandria Wright.

He will be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Norma Buchan and Lee Buchan.

Sandy is predeceased by his wife Vanesa (Wright) Buchan,
parents Peter and Sarah ("Sadie" Harper) Buchan,
brothers Peter and Walter and son-in-law Bob Gioventu.
 

Cremation has taken place.
At Sandy's request there will be no service.

Memorial donations to the Lyon's Memorial United Church or the Manitoulin Lodge Auxiliary as expressions of sympathy.
