In Loving Memory of
Douglas David Boyd
October 6, 1956 - February 1, 2025 (68)
The family announces with great sadness his passing in Gore Bay, at the age of 68 years.
Loving husband of Diane (Larocque) of 32 years.
Proud son of Clifford Boyd and Elizabeth (nee Martin),
brother Steven and sister Terry (Husband Bob Elgie),
as well as numerous nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Douglas served proudly as constable with the Sudbury Regional Police Department for 27 years within the judiciary courts and law enforcement detachment. Retiring in 2011, long time resident of Kagawong Ontario. He loved the relaxing surroundings, along with fishing and boating on the shores of Mudge Bay, located on Lake Huron. Douglas had a vast knowledge of classic music and entertainment and will be missed of his sharp wit and sense of humour.
In keeping with Douglas's wishes, no visitation or service will be held.
An interment will happen at a later date in Kagawong Cemetery.
Donations can be made to St. John's Anglican Church or the Billings Museum.
