George Strain Obituary
STRAIN - George Washington, of Gore Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 3, 2016, in his 83rd year. Dear father of George (Alison), Gail Patreau and Bonnie Strain. Also survived by his grandchildren Matthew, Shane, Wendy-Jo,Ed, Erron, Ryan and great grandchildren Alexandra, Austin, Cole, Jailyn, Abigail, Gracie-Jo, Leah, Sophie, Gabriel and Gavin. George will also be missed by his brothers John, Ross (Marg), brother in law Don Simpson, sister in law Heather as well as the mother of his children Reta. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Alice (Johnson), sister Colleen Simpson, brother David and sister in law Cleo Strain.
Visitation will be held at the SIMPSON FUNERAL HOME, Gore Bay on Monday March 7, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, where a celebration of George's life will be held on Tuesday March 8 at 11 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 514 or the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary as expressions of sympathy. Online condolences may be made through simpsonfuneralhome.ca
