James Renton
September 11, 1942 - January 28, 2026

James Renton, known to many as JR, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026.

Many would remember him from the Bridgeway Motel in Little Current.

Known for his love of trucking, stock car racing, Nascar and buying and selling cars.
He always lived life on his own terms and timeline. He loved to drop in and visit people he knew along the highway while on a road trip.

He was a character, he was unique and he was always himself. He made no apologies for it.

Many siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will mourn his passing. But don't mourn long. Say cheers, gather together and tell tales of his adventures. For that is what he loved best.

Cremation has taken place.
As per his wishes he will be laid to rest with his wife Dorothy Renton
in the Providence Bay Cemetery
on Sunday, May 24th, 2026.

Celebration of Life will follow at the Providence Bay Community Hall.
