In Loving Memory of
John "Shki-John" Niganiwina
January 25, 1964 - June 9, 2025
Shki-John passed away suddenly at his home in Sheshegwaning at the age of 61.
Son of the late Mary Wassegijig and Isaac Niganiwina.
Beloved brother of
Michael Wassegijig of M'Chigeeng,
Darlene Niganiwina (Keith Madill) of Hamilton,
Karen (Don) Servant of Niagara Falls,
Cecile (predeceased)
and Calvin (Lisa) Wassegijig of Hamilton.
Shki-John was a loved uncle and great uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He will be missed by his special niece Stephanie as well as many other cousins and many, many friends.
Shki-John was a machine and heavy equipment operator who worked mostly in the bush. He also worked with concrete down south, He did whatever he could. He loved music and earlier in his life he was a great singer and drum player and still continued to play his guitar.
He was a talented drawer as well. He was a kind and gentle man. Very humble about himself and would never hurt anyone. Though he loved a good party and never wanted the fun to end.
Family and friends will gather
at Saswaahns Spiritual Centre in M'Chigeeng
on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 12pm.
He will be brought to
the Sheshegwaning Community Centre
on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10am.
Funeral Mass will follow at 1pm.
Burial to follow in the Sheshegwaning Cemetery.
