November 10, 1936 - May 25, 2024
Joe Baker, a resident of Gore Bay died on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Pat) Lewis Baker.
Son of the late Harris and Annie Baker.
Brother of Keith (Jolene) Baker of Whitby
and Myrna Baker of Toronto.
Dear father of Randy (Lori) Baker of Perth,
Brenda (George) Zawadzki of London.
and Gregory of Sarnia.
Cherished grandfather of Courtney and Devin Zawadzki
and Sarah and Stuart Baker.
Joe worked in Western Canada and sailed on the Great Lakes before joining Ontario Hydro where he worked for thirty-five years, retiring to Kagawong in 1993 then to Gore Bay in 2004. Joe enjoyed the outdoors and working in his shop. He especially enjoyed curling and travelling. Joe joined The Lion's Club as a charter member in Warren and spent a lot of time doing charitable work.
Cremation entrusted to Simpson Funeral Home with interment in Burpee/Mills Cemetery on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 11:00am.
