Leslie Bailey Obituary

Leslie Arnold Bailey Les Bailey
A resident of Evansville died on August 22, 2016 at the age of 89.
Les was born on May 25, 1927, the only child of Henry and Lily (Campbell) Bailey.
He is survived by his daughter Bonnie (Brad Middleton), his son Chuck and his son Todd (Marian Hester).
Survived also by his brother in law Charlie Smith (Rhonda).
He was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen
and brother in law Jack Sheffield.
Les will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Carolyn Dearing, James Dearing, Keri Endanawas, Shari Bailey
and his great grandchildren Kayla and Kyle Greenman, Anthony Dearing, Briana, Courtney and Ethan Endanawas, Dylan and Dawson Lingenfelter.

Les was a successful farmer in Burpee for many years. His heart was still in farming even when he and Doreen built their new retirement home, as they positioned their home with a panoramic view of the fields he had tilled throughout his life. He served his community for over 30 years as Reeve of Burpee Township. Les truly loved his family, and his quick smile and laughter will be missed at family gatherings. Another of Les's passions was hunting. Building tree stands and preparing for deer season were always on his mind. His stories of "the hunt" will be forever treasured.

At Les's request there will be no visitation. Interment at Burpee Mills Cemetery.
