Antoine – Lynda (nee Cada), passed away on Saturday September 10, 2022, in her 79 year. Beloved wife of over 60 years to Bill. Dear mother of Sherry (Greg) Dayfox, Carmen (Cheryl) Antoine and Eric (Stephanie) Antoine. Cherished grandmother to Steven (Tonya), Jacob (Beverley), Kari, Lorelei and Cassidy. Great grandmother to Zachary, Tristin, Jasmyne, Quincey, Bekodeh, C.J. and Jasper and great great grandmother of Maria. Lynda will be sadly missed by her sisters Carmalita Genereaux, Diane (Henry) John, Valerie Clarke and brother Gene (Janice) Cada sisters in law Irene Kells, Christine, Eleanor and Dorothy Antoine and brother in law Ken Antoine, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Sarah (Pitawankwat) Cada, siblings Beatrice (Lloyd) Sampson, Mildred Rogers, Samuel (Darlene) Cada, Caroline (Garfield) Danville, Eugene, Lorda, Vivian and Roger Cada, brothers in law Lawrence Genereaux, Wilfred and Alphonse Antoine and sister in law Theresa Antoine. Lynda was an independent woman who had a great love for her family. She loved to crochet, being outdoors, where she loved to tend to her flower and vegetable gardens. Lynda enjoyed reading a good mystery or romance novel, and when she was away, loved to go to the casino. She enjoyed painting and drawing. She was known for her “funky” hats and her great love for Elvis Presley. Lynda’s academic achievements were of a Private Investigator and Early Childhood Educator.
Visitation will be held at the Sheshegwaning Complex on Tuesday September 13 from 1 pm until time of the Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 am. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Gore Bay Rotary Club (Gore Bay Medical Centre) as expressions of sympathy.
