Patricia "Pat" Shelby Baker (nee Lewis)
Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Manitoulin Lodge, where she was a resident for the past 6 years, at the age of 75 years.
Beloved wife of Joseph Knox Baker
and loving mother of Randy (Lori) of Bowmanville, Brenda (George) Zawadzki of London and Gregory of Sarnia.
Cherished grandmother of Courtney and Devin Zawadzki and Sarah and Stuart Baker.
Sadly missed by sisters Audrey (Delbert) Merrylees, Leah Rayner and Shirley Lewis,
brothers Doug (Mary Alice), Ken (Marlene), Gordon (Darlene), Gary (Shirley), Irwin (Mary) and Merlin (Christine).
Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Elsie (nee Middleton) Lewis,
sister Mildred Jewel
and brother-in-laws Jim Rayner and Leonard Jewel.
Pat enjoyed craftwork and took great pride in her quilting. She was especially happy when curling and going to bonspiels from the Tri Towns down through Huntsville and Manitoulin. She loved to travel to Florida, Hawaii, Alaska and all areas of Canada. Pat brightened our lives with her smile and enjoyed dancing, which her favourite was the polka.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held
at the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay,
on Saturday February 28, 2015 from 11am until time of the memorial service at 12 noon.
Interment of cremated remains at Burpee Mills Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Manitoulin Lodge Auxiliary or charity of choice as expressions of sympathy.
