Robert James "Jim" Orford

ORFORD - Robert James (Jim) of Ice Lake, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday January 18, 2016 at Manitoulin Lodge, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Lorna for 58 years. Dear father of Vicki Blackburn (Gord Merrian), Bonnie (Kevin) Thorne, Bill (Sally) and Elsie (Richard) Hannah. Jim will be sadly missed by his grandchildren James, Jennifer, Joe, Jacob, Rachael, Amy (Luke), Samantha, Daniel and great grandchildren Thomas, Hannah and Evelyn. Survived by his brother Frank (Evelyn), sisters Margaret Rumley, Jean Clarke, Irene (Bill) Dowhan, sister in law Cynthia Orford, brothers in law Austin (Bev) Pickard, Stan (Jackie) Pickard, Fred (Bev) Pickard and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents William and Elsie (Baker), son Robert James (Bobby) in infancy, brothers George, Joe, Andy, brothers in law Dave Rumley, Ivan Clarke and sister in law Pauline Orford. Visitation will be held at the SIMPSON FUNERAL HOME, Gore Bay, on Friday January 22, 2016 from 1 pm until time of the funeral service at 2 pm.
