In Loving Memory of
Skye Giffin
July 24, 1980-May 14, 2023
With broken hearts the family of Skye Giffin announces her sudden and unexpected passing on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
Skye leaves behind her father Glenn Giffin,
mother Anne Steele-Giffin,
sister Darcey Giffin-Morin
and brother in law Andre Morin.
Her nephews Alex and Owen Morin,
cousins Stephanie (Logan) and Connor (Courtney)
and her grandmother Eleanor Steele.
She also leaves behind her extended family and friends and family of her heart.
Skye was raised in Newmarket On., attended college in London and Toronto and found a career in Social Services. She helped woman and children, in shelters on Vancouvers East Side, and worked with teen moms in Toronto and Vancouver. Most recently she was working in social housing in Toronto. She had a strong sense of social justice which was evident in the career path that she chose. Skye was an artist and a maker working in several different mediums as a hobby. She loved to try new projects and was successful with most. Her art is cherished by those who were lucky enough to be given it. Skye was a friend to many and loved to spend time with friends and family socializing and trading stories and sharing her wicked sense of humour. Our world will be a lesser place with her passing. Love you more.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
