Victoria "Baba" King age 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, in Gore Bay, Ontario.

Born on Monday, December 20, 1926, in Garland, Manitoba, Matilda lived a long and full life marked by warmth, generosity and devotion to her family. 
She was the loving mother of Debbie and David, the cherished grandmother of Jordan, Chris and Tyler and the proud great grandmother of Anthony, Brody and Maddox.

Known affectionately as "Baba," Matilda had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. 
Her kitchen was a place of comfort and abundance—she was a great cook who would feed anyone who passed across her threshold. 
Her meals nourished not only the body but also the soul, creating lasting memories for all who gathered around her table.

Matilda was predeceased by her ten siblings, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.

Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and hospitality. 
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Cremation has taken place.
