Predeceased by his parents Josephine and Dominic Antoine.

He joins his beloved wife Lynda “Foxy” (nee Cada)
and his children Erica, Jimmy, Junior.

Loving father of
Sherry (Greg), Carmen (Cheryl), Eric and Billy John.

Cherished brother of
Irene, Chris (Guy), Eleanor (Harold), Dorothy (Rick), Kenneth (Evenlen predeceased), Dorothy K and Viola A.

Predeceased by siblings
Welford “Pancake”, Theresa N, Alphonse “Cougie”, Richard and Bob K.

Proud grandfather and great grandfather of
Kerri, CJ, Bekodeh, Steven (Tonya), Zackary, Quincey, Jasnyne, Averie, Alizah, Tristin, Mira, Jake (Bev), Ozzy, Lorelei and Cassidy.

Bill generously shared his knowledge and leadership through his service on many committees and organizations including, the KCGFS Elders Advisory, UCCMM Elders Council, UCCM Police Commission, OCF, KTEI and many others. In the early ‘80s, he served as Chief of Sheshegwaning First Nation, where he was known as a dedicated leader who cared deeply for his community. His guidance and commitment helped the community grow and thrive. Bill was known for his kindness, warm hugs, thoughtful words and the wisdom he shared with others. He often reminded people to “be kind and love eachother.”

He was always active in community life and events, especially the Winter Carnival log-cutting competitions with his brother Ken, where the two held the fastest log-cutting record. Bill also enjoyed the nail-driving competitions and was known for his humour. During one cardboard sled race, after being struck by a sled, he stood up laughing and joked, “I was just hit by the Monthly Express.” Bill shared a close and lifelong bond with his older brother Ken, and the two were rarely apart, always laughing and teasing one another.

Throughout his life, Bill worked in many roles, including taxi driver, school van driver, fiberglass boat builder with his brothers Ken and Cougie and logger alongside his father. He was a jack of all trades who enjoyed teaching younger men how to hunt and fish, often day or night and sharing practical skills such as vehicle repair, from changing tires and brake lines to doing oil changes. These hunting and fishing trips were often filled with laughter, as Bill liked to play a few good-natured tricks along the way. With his beloved wife Foxy, Bill enjoyed raising horses and chickens and the two loved to dance together.

Bill was sober for over forty years, a journey that led him to his traditional path. He was a Pipe Carrier and sat on the drum with the Chi-Geezis Singers for over 40 years. He also proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a mason. Bill shared a special bond with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of his great grandchildren, Bekodeh, shared: “I will miss my GG. I loved him so much, even when he ate all my snacks.” Bill will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends, and all who knew him.

William will rest at the Zhiibaahaasing First Nation Community Complex
on Tuesday, March 11, 2026 from 4pm.
Final Service on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11am.
